Server disks are SSD-backed volumes on a Ceph storage cluster, which keeps replicated copies of your data. The storage is network-attached rather than a drive inside the host, so a disk is not tied to one physical drive.
We do not publish benchmark figures, because disk speed on shared storage varies with load. Billing is hourly, so you can deploy a server and run your own tests (for example with fio) before you commit. The $2.50 plan costs less than a cent per hour.

Yes. The control panel shows usage graphs for your server's CPU, memory, disk and network activity. There are no resource alerts, so install a tool such as Netdata or Prometheus inside your server if you need alerting.
Shared. Every plan uses shared vCPUs: your server always has its allocated number of vCPUs, but the physical cores are also used by other servers on the same host. This keeps prices low. If you need guaranteed full-core performance all the time, a dedicated server is a better fit.
Websites, APIs, bots, small and medium databases, development environments and self-hosted apps run well. Workloads that need sustained full-core CPU or very high disk IOPS are better suited to dedicated hardware.

Yes, to a larger plan from the control panel. Power the server off, choose the new plan and start it again. Your data and IP address stay the same. Moving to a smaller plan is not supported.
No. We do not offer an uptime SLA or service credits. Servers run on a Proxmox cluster with replicated Ceph storage, but hardware or network problems can still take a server offline, so keep backups of anything important.
Yes. With full root access you control kernel parameters, sysctl settings and I/O schedulers. You can tune the TCP stack, memory management and disk scheduling to match your workload.
