LEMP swaps Apache for Nginx: Linux, Nginx, a MySQL-compatible database and PHP running under PHP-FPM. It suits PHP applications that you want to serve through Nginx.

The VPS.org one-click install uses Ubuntu 22.04 and installs Nginx, MariaDB and PHP-FPM with the common extensions (curl, gd, mbstring, xml, zip, mysql). It sets a random MariaDB root password, removes the anonymous database users and the test database, and configures an Nginx server block that passes .php requests to PHP-FPM from /var/www/html.

After the install, delete /var/www/html/info.php, point your domain at the server, and add a free Let's Encrypt certificate with Certbot. Firewall rules and backups are yours to configure.

Choose LEMP Stack at checkout. The server installs the stack on first boot, which usually finishes a few minutes after the server comes online; progress is logged to /var/log/lemp-install.log. The Nginx configuration lives in /etc/nginx/sites-available/lemp.
