Workshop:
Geared towards the professional software developer or college seniors majoring in computer science, the Vietnamese Professional Society - Southern California is offering a 5-7 week crash course in .NET. The course will cover the basics of the .NET Framework as well as the C# language from the ground up. By the end of the course, the course attendee will know how to program Windows applications, XML Web services, as well as ASP.NET application using the C# language. If time permits, the course will also touch upon smart-client programming such as for PocketPC PDAs or WAP-phones. The maximum capacity of the class is 20. To register email nguyentriminh@yahoo.com.
The workshop will be conducted primarily in English, although Vietnamese can be used if the course attendee chooses to. An intermediate understanding of programming (C, C++, Java, Visual Basic) is required. Although not necessarily rquired, an understanding of object-oriented programming is highly recommended. The class will meet each Sunday from 2-5pm in Garden Grove starting October 5th.
Presenter:
Minh T. Nguyen is an active member of the Vietnamese Professional Society - Southern California and has conducted VPS workshops in Unicode in February 2003 as well as Internet Tools in May 2003. He started working with Microsoft .NET in its Beta 2 stage in Fall of 2001. At his past and current company, he has lead the migration of core company products to the .NET Framework and currently works for EOS International in Carlsbad.
